Kayla Lucas, BS, CVT, CPT, CCRC

Kayla has been an employee at Connecticut Eye Consultants since 2021. She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) as well as a Certified Phlebotomist (CPT). Kayla really loves working with the retinal patient community; however, she also works with the other specialists doing glaucoma, presbyopia, and corneal studies. Her goal for every patient visit is to make them as comfortable and as streamlined as she can. She gets to know each of her patients, which helps make the visits feel like a VIP experience.

Kayla really enjoys animals; in fact, her background is in veterinary medicine as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). She started her research career in the veterinary field as a clinical research coordinator in 2010 doing pharmaceutical studies with cats at a veterinary clinic. She also aids her local veterinary technician program with hands on skills; teaching the new students how to draw blood and perform the basic nursing skills required for their Veterinary Technician Nation Exam (VTNE).
